Marketing Manager Job Brief

Alpenglow Expeditions is looking for a flexible and versatile marketer who will be responsible for the growth of our inbound sales channels.

The marketing manager will be responsible for developing and executing marketing strategy for all of Alpengow’s key products while tracking and analyzing the performance of advertising campaigns across platforms, managing the marketing budget, growing partnerships and community relations while ensuring that all marketing related materials are in line with our brand identity.

Ultimately, you will help us build and maintain a strong and consistent brand through a wide range of online and offline marketing channels.

As with any other position at Alpenglow Expeditions, you will ultimately be wearing many hats helping with all aspects of the day to day operations. While the Marketing Manager will have specific responsibilities, this position will also learn all facets of the business from checking in clients, to driving the

Responsibilities

-Develop and execute marketing strategy for all of Alpenglow’s key products

-Improve on and develop current and future strategies and tactics to drive qualified leads to the sales team

-Create, manage, and expand marketing campaigns across channels and execute from start to finish

-Produce compelling written content through our blog that establishes AEX as a thought leader in the industry

-Manage, maintain, and continually develop both of Alpenglow’s websites – alpenglowexpeditions.com & tahoevia.com

-Build and maintain strategic partnerships with brands and outdoor community organizations, locally and nationally

-Prepare and monitor the marketing budget on semi-annual basis, and allocate funds accordingly

-Oversee production of marketing materials, from print to digital

-Track, measure and report on the performance of marketing campaigns and provide insight and assess against goals

-Manage, organize and create weekly content for our newsletter database

-Develop, manage and analyze Adwords campaigns across Alpenglow and Tahoe Via Ferrata brands

-Manage all social media content and content schedules for both Alpenglow and Tahoe Via Ferrata

-Oversee photo and video production

-Manage any marketing consultants or contractors

Requirements

-At least 2 years of prior marketing experience, preferably in the outdoor industry

-Preferred experience in managing consultants and contractors

-Experience in setting up and optimizing Google Adwords campaigns

-Knowledgeable in website administration and analytics tools (ie: WordPress CMS, Google analytics)

-Proficiency in social media advertising campaign setup and execution (ie: Facebook and Instagram ad campaigns)

-Comfortable with spreadsheets and data analysis

-Bachelors degree in Marketing or related field

-Strong time management and organizational abilities

-Exceptional analytical and problem-solving skills

-Must be willing to work some weekends
