Alpenglow Expeditions is looking to expand its office team this winter season! We are looking for a hardworking individual who is passionate about the outdoors. Whether you’re chatting about our avalanche courses or discussing backcountry safety, our goal is to provide a unique and excellent experience for each client who desires to explore mountains across the world.

Front Desk Position

-Position Type: Full-time hourly, including weekends and holidays (40 hours per week)
-Location: Palisades Village, Tahoe
-Starting Salary: $18/hr

As a key member of our team, you’ll play a vital role in delivering outstanding customer service. Responsibilities include office opening, rental preparations, client welcome, and guide team support. You’ll also handle phone and email inquiries, assist clients in choosing the right courses or experiences, keep the office clean and organized, assist with programming, logistics, and emergency dispatch as needed.

Key Qualifications:

-Proficiency in digital sales platforms, Microsoft Word, Excel, and Gmail.
-Minimum 1 year of guest service or relevant experience.
-Adaptability to handle various tasks efficiently and work effectively in a dynamic environment.
-Thrives in a team-oriented setting with a common goal.
-Comfortable interacting with the public.

This position is available from late October/early November 2023 through April 2024, with a potential to extend into the summer for the right candidate. We offer a starting rate of $18/hr, along with outdoor industry discounts, free climbing and skiing courses through Alpenglow, and some of the best skiing in North America right outside your office (Skiing lunch breaks? Yes, please!).

Housing Note: Housing in the Tahoe area is scarce; ideal candidates are already residents.
