Experience
Skiers must have at least 10 days of backcountry ski touring experience and must be able to ski in a variety of snow conditions and steep terrain.
Fitness
Skiers and riders must be in excellent physical shape to join this expedition. Expect big days, but lots of fun! Regular, challenging exercise for many months in advance of departure is the only way to gain the necessary level of fitness. Those joining our teams should have at least a general understanding of what it takes to train for an expedition like this. We recommend a structured training program at a gym or with a personal trainer. Please contact us for more information on physical training.
Day 1
Arrival in Zurich and Transfer to Andermatt

Arrive at Zurich Airport, where you’ll be greeted and transferred to your hotel in the picturesque village of Andermatt. After checking in and settling down, take some time to explore the charming surroundings or relax at your hotel.

Day 2
Freeride Gemstock

The first day of skiing/riding will see us hit the slopes of Gemstock. Known for its wide variety of in-bounds terrain, this day will focus on freeride skiing. Your guides will lead you to the best runs, ensuring you maximize your experience in this breathtaking alpine playground. It’ll be a perfect day to break in our ski legs and get the first turns of the trip.

Day 3
Free Tour from Gemstock

Today we’ll go for a tour from the Gemstock, exploring the vast backcountry options this iconic mountain has to offer. Experience the thrill of skiing untouched powder as you traverse various routes tailored to your skill level. We’ll take in stunning vistas and enjoy the serene beauty of the Swiss Alps throughout the day.

Day 4
Farmer’s Lift Touring

Enjoy a day of touring using the Farmer’s Lift, which provides access to some lesser-known backcountry gems. This day combines skiing with a bit of uphill adventure, allowing you to earn your turns in spectacular surroundings.

Day 5
Rest Day and Optional Self-Ski Day

Take a well-deserved rest day to recharge your legs and soak in the beauty of Andermatt. For those eager for more skiing, an optional self-guided ski day inbounds at Sedrun or Disentis awaits. Note that lift tickets and guiding are not included for this day, allowing you the freedom to explore at your own pace. In the evening, relax and reflect on your adventures so far.

Day 6
Tour to Albert Heim Hut

Today we’ll tour to the iconic Albert Heim Hut. This journey offers breathtaking views and the opportunity to experience more of the Swiss backcountry. Once at the hut, enjoy a well-deserved lunch and, for the adventurous, an optional afternoon ski from the hut to make the most of your time in this stunning location.

Day 7
Climb and Descend to Göschenen

On your final skiing day, we’ll get to make the huge descent to the village of Göschenen. The descent is long and super fun, and we’ll take the train back to Andermatt, where you’ll celebrate the week’s accomplishments with a traditional Swiss dinner at Oschen. Share stories of your adventures and bond with your fellow skiers over a delicious meal.

Day 8
Departure from Andermatt to Zurich Airport

After breakfast, take in the last views of the majestic Alps as you prepare for your journey home. Enjoy a scenic transfer back to Zurich Airport, where you can reflect on your incredible adventure in Andermatt. Depart for home with unforgettable memories of your Swiss skiing experience.
