The best guides on the planet—no matter your objective.

From the Tahoe backcountry to the Himalaya’s highest peaks, our guides have the kind of intimate local knowledge that only comes from decades of experience. All Alpenglow’s lead guides are AMGA- or IFMGA-certified or aspirant guides, which means they’re among the world’s foremost experts in managing risk in remote mountain terrain.

Our Sherpa Team

A huge part of our success in the Himalaya and Karakoram are our Sherpa. We would not be able to climb the tallest peaks on the planet without them, and we’re grateful to work with the best Sherpa team on the planet.

We’ve been climbing with the same core group of Sherpa for two decades, and our Sherpa team has become a key part of the Alpenglow family. They are all professionally trained, and are among the most accomplished Sherpa and climbers in the Khumbu Valley. From fixing lines and breaking trail, to setting up camps and helping to carry gear. Our Sherpa team is a key part of our success on 8,000m peak expeditions in the Himalaya and Pakistan.

Our Sherpa Team

We wouldn’t be able to do what we do without an amazing team of support staff in each country that we climb in.

We work with local logistics teams and support teams in each country that are a vital part to reaching the summits on our expeditions. They help us arranging transport and hotels, portering and mules, setting up camps, cooking and providing clean, healthy food. Their local knowledge of the places we climb are unmatched, and we take care to work with the best.
