Ski and ride outside the ski area boundaries of Lake Tahoe’s premier resort with Alpenglow’s AMGA-certified professional mountain guides. Riding the lifts means less time hiking and more time skiing and riding this incredible backcountry terrain. AIARE 1
Take your first steps into the world of Avalanche Education and begin to establish an intricate understanding of the Backcountry with AIARE 1. Alpenglow Expeditions provides comprehensive, entry-level avalanche courses in North & South Lake Tahoe designed for those with basic ski/snowboard touring experience. Alpenglow’s AIARE 1 courses have both in-person learning components in a classroom and the field, as well as a virtual option for those with limited time. Offerings include AIARE 1: Hybrid, AIARE 1: 3-Day, Teen AIARE 1, South Lake AIARE 1, and Avalanche Refresher.
