The Alpamayo team has been in basecamp for a couple of days and is pushing up to Moraine Camp after a training day lower on the mountain. The team consists of Adrian and Jaime as guides with Robert Saul, Steve McNally, and Desiree Dubon. Robert’s bags proved to be the sole logistical issue of their travels, finally arriving in basecamp on a burro, having been transported from the US to Lima to Huaraz. Everyone is healthy, strong, and similarly paced so their progress has been efficient although the weather has been a little inconsistent by Peru-standards. Let’s hope the instability means a full clearing for their summit window next week!
