The Alpenglow Difference: Consistency & Quality

Lets talk about consistency and quality.

Since our founding, one of Adrian Ballinger’s goals was to build a company that gave its team members the best mountain experience possible, every time. As Alpenglow grew and he couldn’t be the one leading every expedition, he needed a way to ensure the quality of his expeditions without him being there to lead the trip. The first step to that quality control was only working with professionally trained certified guides.

Every Alpenglow guide working in California or internationally works within the scope of practice through the AMGA (American Mountain Guide Association). This means that every guide you work with at Alpenglow is a fully certified IFMGA/AMGA Mountain Guide, certified in their discipline, or an aspirant guide. This is the highest standard in the guiding industry, as you are guaranteed to have a professionally trained guide on every Alpenglow Expedition.

Part of a good experience in the mountains is smooth and seamless logistics. We work with the best local logistics providers and are very intentional with the quality of our logistics for our teams. We offer the best quality base camp infrastructure, good, clean food on each trip, efficient transport to and from the mountains, and professional/trained high-altitude workers and porters. Quality logistics are key to a successful mountain adventure.

From our Mount Everest expedition to our introductory climbing schools, we offer consistent high-quality mountain adventures across the board.
